Buyers' guide · Press brakes

Choose the press brake around the bend, not just the tonne rating.

The right machine depends on bend length, material, flange depth, tooling, repetition, accuracy and access—not only on the largest thickness you expect to bend.

Questions to answer before choosing

What are you bending?

Tell us material grade, thickness range, maximum length, smallest flange and whether the work includes stainless, aluminium, galvanised sheet or high-strength material.

How repeatable is the work?

Repeat parts, multiple bends and left/right setups may justify more controlled backgauge axes, better tooling organisation and a bend-sequence workflow.

What space and supply do you have?

Confirm machine footprint, access route, unloading equipment, floor and the 415 V three-phase electrical supply unless the quotation states otherwise.
