Machinery valuations

Discuss a machinery valuation for insurance, replacement budgeting or sale planning. There is no obligation to sell your machinery to Carter.

Replacement cost

The cost of an equivalent machine and the agreed associated costs. New and used replacements can give different figures.

Market appraisal

A view of likely sale value based on condition, demand and the stated sale circumstances.

Insurance requirements

The purpose, policy basis and report requirements need to be established with your insurer before work is commissioned.

A Carter buying offer is a separate commercial proposal. Valuation scope and fees are agreed in advance; any interest Carter has in buying the machinery will be disclosed. Looking to sell instead?

Fields marked * are required. Enter “unknown” where you do not have a machine detail.

1. Your details
2. The machinery
3. Location & inspection
Tell us about access appointments and whether an operator can demonstrate the machine.
4. What do you need the valuation for?
For insurance enquiries, tell us the insurer’s required basis, intended users and any qualifications they require. Enter “not yet known” if you need to check. List multiple assets here if applicable.

We will confirm whether we can undertake the assignment, its scope, any inspection requirement and the fee before you commission it. Sending this enquiry does not create a valuation report or a purchase offer. Acceptance by an insurer is not guaranteed.

5. Photographs

Include an overall view, the machine plate, controls and tooling. For a sale, add pictures of the access route and loading area.

1–10 JPG, PNG or WebP photos. Up to 5 MB each and 20 MB in total. You can add photos in several batches. Convert HEIC photos to JPG first.

Your photographs and contact details are sent privately to Carter. They are not published as stock listings.
